Just so you know who I am

My own spiritual journey began in earnest in the late 1980’s when I began to explore meditation techniques and various spiritual paths. Across the years my various teachers and mentors have been, and in some cases still are:

RJ Stewart and Anastacia Nutt (rjstewart.org)

The Order of Bards Ovates and Druids (druidry.org)

Caitlin Matthews (hallowquest.org)

Kathy Roberts, White School of Crystal Healing (incorporating Native American Medicine work) (crystal-healing.org)

Richard Bandler, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) (see richardbandler.com)

Kay Browning’s Reike School (no longer exists to my knowledge)

For the first 11 years of my professional life I worked in accountancy (oh dear, I really wanted to study dancing).  After that I became a Youth Crisis Worker, where I trained in Person Centred Counselling skills as well as other issue based subjects. For several years I also worked for a Human Rights Programme and trained volunteers working with compromised or vulnerable people.

On a personal level, I had something of an Epiphany in my mid-thirties and did the equivalent of running off with the circus. I went to live and work at a fringe arts centre and spent three glorious years with dancers, artists, musicians, travelling theatre and opera companies, acrobats, mime artists and puppeteers.

On an inner level, the joys and sorrows of human life, and all the dilemmas, difficulties, highs and lows, have been a fertile source of self-knowledge, understanding and inner peace. With the help and guidance of human and spirit guides, I have been able to keep on keeping on. I will not pretend that it has always been easy but my sense of being truly alive, rather than simply existing, increases over time.

My spiritual education continues, as it always will, and is based entirely on the Western Esoteric Spiritual Traditions. Being a woman of Britain, or Albion as I like to call her, I think of it as the Grail Path.  I serve my local community and my race as a whole, and continually refine and develop my practices in the Sacromagical Arts. My partner is a Druid Priest and we work together in our home, tending perpetual altars, engaging in various spiritual practices throughout the day and sometimes hosting gatherings and weekend retreats with likeminded people. Our spiritual endeavours are fluid and change according to perceived need. Dogma plays no part in our work, things should always evolve, and in the words of RJ Stewart ‘be a living stream of consciousness
